Medical Director

Dr. Lenae White is a ABPN Board-certified Addiction Psychiatrist, who has served on the faculty at both the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Texas-Southwestern. She has been practicing in the field of addiction psychiatry for over nine years and has been involved in numerous NIDA, NIAAA, and NIMH sponsored research trials for the biological treatments of addictive disease.

A Mayo Clinic trained physician, Dr. White lectures on behalf Campral® and Cephalon®, pharmacotherapies used to treat alcoholism. She is also a member of the PROMETA® Medical Advisory Board. Dr. White’s medical training in addiction includes a 3 year Addiction Psychiatry Research Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, 4 year residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota; and as Scientific Coordinator for NIDA Clinical Trials Network North Texas NODE. She has also held positions as Medical Director and Consulting Psychiatrist for Dallas area hospitals.

Dr. White founded the Murray Hill Recovery Center in May 2006 which provides state-of-the-art comprehensive treatments for the disease of addiction. She provides a positive and caring environment for patients to obtain the help they need by combining biological, pharmacotherapeutic, and psychosocial modalities in an outpatient treatment setting. With an emphasis on wellness, support and education; Dr. White works closely with her patients to best ensure optimum health and long-term sobriety.



Shaquanna Boynton, CNA
Certified Nurse Assistant 

Shaquanna Boynton, CNA has worked in the field of addiction treatment and behavioral health for over 3 years. Prior to joining the team at Murray Hill Recovery, Shaquanna worked with Hickory Trails Hospital (formerly known as Cedars). Shaquanna’s professional experiences contribute to her ability to gain trust and to the development of a comforting and supportive environment for the clients she sees. In her role as Certified Nurse Assistant, Shaquanna provides clinical and medical assistance to the medial and clinical team at Murray Hill Recovery.


 

Whitney Taylor
Medical Assistant

A graduate of Remington College, Whitney first met Dr. Lenae White during an internship at a non-profit facility where Dr. White was acting Medical Director. As part of the healthcare team at Murray Hill, Whitney assists in providing preventative, diagnostic, and therapeutic services to patients. Whitney works in all areas of the Murray Hill Recovery Center to insure that optimal care is provided to patients and their families. Her warmth, compassion, and professionalism are evident to all the families and patients she comes in contact with at the Murray Hill Recovery Center.
